Stationery Stores lost out of Lagos FA Cup as MFM defeated Team 360

Those who thought MFM fc were going to rest their best legs in FA cup fixture against little known Team 360 were surprised to see the full complement of the team file out for the game.

Indicating the team’s interest to defend the trophy they won for the first time last year. StephenOdey Put the Soccer Temple ahead in the 15th minute of play and all efforts to increase the tally was futile till the end of first half.

At the 52nd minute of play, Sikiru Olatubosun scored the second goal before Adekunle Adegboyega added the third in the 60th minute. Stanley Okorom was fouled inside the penalty area in the 71st minute and he stood up to convert the resultant penalty.

Rahman Wasiu scored Team 360 lone goal  via penalty  in the 62nd minute when MFM defender handled the ball inside the penalty area to end the game 4-1.

Stationery Stores minimum target of playing in the finals to be part of the two Lagos State representatives was truncated as they lost to Odic fc 1-3 via penalty shootout.

The two teams lost several scoring chances during the game which ended goalless.

The rejuvenated Flaming Flamingos could only convert only one of their penalty Kicks while their opponent scored 3.

It was a shocking defeat for the last year semi finalist, Messiah fc as they lost 0-1 to non league side, Abray Sports.

Messiah fc was favoured to win the game due to their pedigree in the competition and the quality of their players. They were unfortunately let down by their strikers, who could not convert several begging chances.

The game between Spartan fc and Clique Sports ended 0-1 in favour of Spartan fc.
