I will resign if I don’t beat Elkanemi Warriors – Fidelis Ilechukwu

The Chief Coach of MFM International fc has vowed to win Elkanemi Warriors of Maidiguri in their last day fixture NPFL if the game will be shown life on TV.

Speaking to the Sports Zone crew on Lagos Talk, Ilechukwu said if the match is shown live on TV and he fails to win in Maidiguri, he would resign.

“If my match against Elkanemi is shown live on TV, I will tell Olukoya before leaving Lagos that if I don’t come back with 3 points, I will not come back for his job”

“Plateau United and MFM still have 50/50 chances of winning the NPFL league and they’re showing Plateau United’s game on TV, that means they have already given the trophy to them”

In response to the differences between last season that he barely escaped relegation and this season, Ilechukwu answered, “last season we had better players which included Ifeanyi Ifeanyi and Musa Newman but the team this season is disciplined.”

Ilechukwu, popularly referred to as the Working One also claimed that he was not given free hand to work last season which also affected the team’s performances.

Fidelis Ilechukwu has promised to play the finals of the CAF Champion’s League next year if the management of MFM will provide him with 9 players he has penciled down to be part of the team next season.

“I will play in the finals at the continent next season if I’m provided with 9 players to beef up the team. I have discussed with the players and they are ready to come.”
