Gold Coast 2018: Invest More in Us – Seye Ogunlewe tells PMB

Aftermath of the 100m finals at the ongoing Commonwealth Games where the duo of the Nigerian finalists, Seye Ogunlewe and Enoch Olaoluwa Adegoke came 5th and 7th respectively with the time of 10.19 and 10.35, fastest. Nigerian runner has thrown a challenge to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to invest more in the Athletes for better result.

In a tweet sent earlier before the final race, the Presidency congratulated the athletes and encouraged them as all Nigerians are behind them.

In his reaction after the race, where South African duo of Akani Simbine and Henricho Bruintjies won Gold and Silver with the time of 10.03 and 10.17, he thanked the Presidency and advised him to invest more in the Athletes for them to do greater things.

Jamaican Yohan Blake who was widely expected to win the Gold Coast 100m Gold came 3rd with a time of 10.19m.

So far, Nigerian participation in the competition has not been encouraging as we can only boast of two Silver Medals in Table Tennis and Shot Put.
