UNILAG UNDERGRADUATE ENLISTED AS A FIFA REFEREE
AKINTOYE Yemisi Eunice, a part 4 student of Human Kinetic and Health Education in the University of Lagos was among 29 Elite Nigerian Referees decorated with 2021 FIFA Badge this afternoon, inside the NFF Conference Room Abuja.
Yemisi who is a member of the Lagos State Referees Council became a Grade One Referee in 2018.
She came into National limelight when she was appointed to officiate in the 2019 NWFL Super 4, where she performed excellently in the opening match.
The Ikorodu Referees Society 2019 Best Referees of the year has officiated several high profile matches in different categories of Leagues in Nigeria.
Apart from being a Referee, Yemisi who is an ex-footballer has Advanced Certificate in Coaching and Training (National Institute of Sports NIS).
By this achievement, Yemisi Akintoye is the first ever Woman FIFA Badged Referee in Lagos State as those before her were FIFA Badged Assistant Referees.

Adebimpe QuadriB, asheer Salisu, Joseph Ogabor, Abdulahi Abubakar, Nurudeen Abubakar and Grema Mohammed as
Usman Isah, Peter Pwadutakam, Efosa Celestine, Peter Ogwu, Digbori Tejiri, Abdulmajeed Usman Olaide and Hope Egho are the male Assistant Referees.
In the women category are Patience Ndidi Madu, Hannah Eliagwu and Olufumulayo Alaba and Yemisi Akintoyye. While Women Assistants are Mimisen Iyorhe, Abibatu Yusuf, Mfom Akpan and Beauty Tera.
Others also badged are Paul Umuago, Musa Dung Davou, Ndubuisi Uka and Bello Zuru Alhassan for Futsal Soccer FIFA referees.
Beach Soccer FIFA referees are Ogunmuyiwa Jelili, Olaide Olayinka, Brig Gen Fawole Olawale and Rabiu Ahmad
