Nigerian FIFA Referees Arrive in Zambia for U-17 World Cup Qualifier

Four Nigerian FIFA referees have landed in Ndola, Zambia, ahead of the highly anticipated second leg of the Women U-17 World Cup qualifier between Zambia and Tanzania. The quartet, who departed from Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport Abuja this morning, include the Referee Akintoye Yemisi, Assistant Referee 1 Beauty Terah, Assistant Referee 2 Akpan Mfon Friday, and Fourth Official Alaba Olufunmilayo.

The first leg, which took place in Tanzania about a week ago, ended in a dominant 3-0 victory for Zambia, giving them a comfortable advantage heading into the return leg. With such a crucial match on the line, all eyes will be on the refereeing team to ensure fair play and smooth execution of the game.

Additionally, Togo’s Latre-Kayi Edzona Lawson-Hogban will serve as the Referee Assessor, while Yvonne Letota will act as the Match Commissioner. As the match approaches, excitement builds around the potential of this intense qualification battle!
