A former football administrator himself, the Emir spoke passionately about the significance of the moment, urging the players to remain disciplined, focused, and united as they chase a major milestone in the club’s history.
“I was once an official of Shooting Stars and the Nigeria Football Federation. I know what is at stake in a crucial match like this,” the Emir stated. “Prepare well, remain focused, and stay united. We will continue to pray for your success.”
The Emir’s words struck a chord with the squad and the management, many of whom have regarded his support as a consistent pillar of strength. Chairman of the Kwara State Football Association, Mallam Idris Musa Abdullahi Thuraya, reaffirmed this during the visit, calling the royal encouragement a driving force behind the team’s confidence.
