NADWAT Global Assembly Celebrates 25 Years of Faith and Service with Weeklong Anniversary Events in Lagos

A milestone celebration featuring Thanksgiving, awards, medical outreach, youth empowerment, and the inauguration of new executive members.

The NADWAT Global Assembly has lined up a series of activities to commemorate its 25th anniversary, culminating in a grand finale on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the Car Park beside Conoil Filling Station, opposite the Federal Ministry of Justice, Marina, Lagos Island.

According to a statement signed by Alhaji Saheed Oyenigba, Public Secretary of NADWAT, from the organisation’s National Headquarters, the event will feature a Thanksgiving Service, Award Presentation to Dedicated Members, an Empowerment Programme for Members, and the Inauguration of the Newly Nominated Executive Council.

The silver jubilee celebration, themed around reflection, renewal, and community service, marks a significant milestone in NADWAT’s mission of faith-based leadership, social development, and spiritual enlightenment.

The event is expected to attract prominent religious scholars, community leaders, and members from across the country. The special anniversary lecture will be delivered by Shaikh Abdur Rahmaan A. Lawal, Ph.D. (MNIPR), who serves as the Head Mission and National Imaam of NADWAT.

In the buildup to the grand finale, NADWAT has organised a weeklong programme of events designed to deepen its outreach and service to humanity.

Sunday, October 19, 2025 – Medical Outreach Time: 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Venue: NADWAT Mosque, 67/69 Igbosere Road, Lagos Island.

Tuesday, October 21, 2025 – Special Prayers by the Council of Ustadz (Evening) Time: 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday, October 22, 2025 – Press Briefing and Cutting of Anniversary Cake Time: 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Venue: NADWAT Headquarters Mosque.

Thursday, October 23, 2025 – Women’s Day Seminar (Morning) and Special Prayers for Departed Members (Evening) Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Seminar); 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Prayers) Venue: NADWAT Mosque.

Friday, October 24, 2025 – Special Anniversary Jumu’ah Service Time: 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Venue: NADWAT Central Mosque, 67/69 Igbosere Road, Lagos Island.

Saturday, October 25, 2025 – Youth Summit Time: 10:00 a.m.

Sunday, October 26, 2025 – Thanksgiving Service, Award Presentation, Empowerment Programme, and Inauguration of New National Executive Council Members Time: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Venue: Marina, Lagos.

NADWAT Global Assembly, guided by its motto “Wamaa Tawfiqi Illa Billah” (meaning “My success is only by Allah”), has over the years made remarkable contributions to moral upliftment, educational advancement, and social empowerment through its faith-inspired programmes and community initiatives.
