“Congratulations to @Symply_Tacha who set TWO new @GWR titles for the most cosmetic makeovers in eight hours and 24 hours.”
The record-breaking feat took place during the Tacha Beauty Festival, held from October 10 to 12, 2025, at the John Randle Centre for Yorùbá Culture & History in Lagos. Over three days, Tacha and her team worked tirelessly, transforming 150 models in a celebration of African beauty and creativity.
According to Guinness World Records, Tacha achieved 82 makeovers in eight hours and completed 144 makeovers in 24 hours, officially securing her place in history.
“Grace, Persistence, and Unwavering Support”
In an emotional Instagram post, the 29-year-old star poured out her gratitude to her team, fans, and late mother.

“You smiled, talked, cried, and hyped me till the very last second. From the depth of my heart, thank you. We didn’t just work—we warred.”
She went on to describe the grueling behind-the-scenes effort that led to the triumph.
“The world sees the headline, but God and I know the trenches: sleepless nights, generator hum, prayers at 3 AM, swollen feet, shaky hands—and grace that does not lie.”
Tacha’s story, once rooted in reality TV fame, has evolved into a narrative of resilience, faith, and bold creativity. Her transformation from a controversial housemate to a global record holder underscores the power of reinvention.
“Dare to Be Different”
Speaking to Guinness World Records, Tacha reflected on what inspired her attempt.
“The idea of daring to be different drove me. Makeup has always been a part of me. From childhood, I was fascinated by colours and beauty. This record was born from that same spirit, resilience, and the courage to stand out.”
She added that the record was a statement about Nigerian and African women—their creativity, determination, and capacity for global excellence.
“I wanted to show that Nigerian women can achieve anything they put their minds to, that creativity is powerful, and that African women deserve global recognition.”
“While They Hate, I Chase Destiny and Win”
