The first-ever meeting between both sides started cautiously, with Dannaz Ladies enjoying more of the ball but finding a well-organised Ahidiayannem defence difficult to break down. The first half ended goalless, with both teams showing nerves and respect for the occasion.
The breakthrough came in the 59th minute when substitute Amarachi Anusillem gave Dannaz Ladies the lead, rewarding the hosts’ growing pressure. For a brief moment, Ahidiayannem Queens were on course for a historic away point. That hope was dashed late on as Adewunmi Akintola struck in the 87th minute to seal all three points for Dannaz Ladies.
The win lifted Dannaz Ladies to seven points and moved them up the Group B table, while Ahidiayannem Queens remain rooted at the bottom but finally have a landmark goal to build on.

Bayelsa Queens continue to send a clear message to the rest of the league. The defending champions swept aside Adamawa Queens in Makwada to extend their perfect start to the season and remain firmly on top of Group A.
The Prosperity Girls wasted no time asserting themselves. Kindness Ifeanyi opened the scoring early with a sharp poacher’s finish, setting the tone for another dominant outing. Adamawa Queens briefly raised hopes of a response when Omo Afensemi curled in a superb free kick to restore parity.
Bayelsa Queens, however, responded with the composure of champions. Captain Blessing Ilivieda restored the lead before Janet Akekoromowei made it 3-1 within a devastating spell before the break.
After the interval, Adamawa Queens pushed forward but left spaces behind, and Kindness Ifeanyi punished them again in the 66th minute to complete her brace and put the result beyond doubt.
Bayelsa Queens Technical Adviser Whyte Ogbonda praised his players’ mentality after the game, highlighting their consistency and hunger. The champions now have 18 points from six matches, while Adamawa Queens slip down to seventh position.

One of the most significant off-pitch stories of Matchday 7 unfolded in Asaba. Delta Queens’ home defeat to Abia Angels not only cost them valuable points but also resulted in the immediate dismissal of head coach Samaila Samaila Marwa.
The match itself was tense and evenly contested, with both sides cancelling each other out for long spells. Delta Queens created chances but were repeatedly denied, including a fine save from goalkeeper Fubbi that kept the contest alive.

The North Central derby delivered tension and late drama in Iyahmo. Fresh from their first win of the season, Confluence Queens looked on course for another famous result against star-studded Nasarawa Amazons.
Seember Emmanuel gave Confluence Queens a deserved lead in the first half, and the underdogs defended bravely as Nasarawa Amazons struggled to break them down.
