As the crescent moon signals the end of Ramadan, a sacred month of devotion and self-discipline, the President of the Nigeria National League Club Owners and Managers Association (NALCOMA), Godwin Enakhena, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims across the nation on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.
In a heartfelt goodwill message, Enakhena acknowledged the resilience, faith, and unwavering commitment displayed by Muslims throughout the holy month—a period of fasting, reflection, and seeking divine mercy.
“It’s yet another successful celebration by our Muslim brothers and sisters as they mark the end of Ramadan. It is never an easy journey to sacrifice food and personal comforts, but the rewards are always abundant. I congratulate you all for your strength and devotion, and I pray that His grace will continue to overflow in your lives and families.”
Beyond the personal spiritual rewards, Enakhena emphasized the deeper essence of Eid-el-Fitr—love, communal bonding, and shared happiness. He urged Muslims to let the values of Ramadan—compassion, generosity, and gratitude—extend beyond the holy month and into daily life.
He also called for peace, harmony, and unity among Nigerians, stressing that in a nation rich with diversity, tolerance and understanding remain the strongest foundations for progress.
As Chairman of Sporting Lagos, Enakhena highlighted the power of sports, especially football, in bringing people together. He pointed out how the game transcends ethnicity, religion, and social divides, creating an environment where teamwork, mutual respect, and national pride thrive.
“Football has always been more than just a game. It is a language of unity, a bridge across cultures, and a symbol of togetherness. As we celebrate Eid, let us also embrace the spirit of teamwork and oneness that football teaches us daily.”
As Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Fitr with prayers, feasts, and charity, Enakhena encouraged all Nigerians to reflect on the values of the season and embrace a future filled with hope, peace, and collective progress.
Eid Mubarak to all! May this season bring blessings, prosperity, and lasting unity.
